Morena Shree Sundari Firpo was born in Genoa (Italy). Graduating in Translation Studies in Russian, English and Spanish, she started practicing Yoga in Buenos Aires in 2007, and she continued practicing over the following years in Sydney and Venice. In 2012, she met her Master teacher, Yogrishi Vishvketu, in Venice, and she followed him to Rishikesh in 2013 to take part into the Akhanda Yoga YTT 200.

The following year, Morena went back to India to live at the Ashram for more than a year doing Karma Yoga, teaching and assisting her teacher. During this time in India, she attended courses on Ayurveda, Bhakti and Nada Yoga, deepened her knowledge of mantra, kirtan, raga and classical Indian music and started singing. She also graduated from the YTT 300. In 2015, after spending some time in Australia where she taught “Yoga in the Kitchen” and studied Mantra Yoga with Edo & Jo, she taught yoga on yachts in Greece and Turkey. Morena returned to Italy and she has found her roots in Liguria near Cinque Terre. In 2018, she was invited to teach at the Yoga Festival Milano.

She teaches both adults and kids with a balanced yin-yang approach using different techniques and she’s always reminding her students the principles of non-violence (ahimsa), love, simplicity, joy and lightness. Chanting mantras is a key element in her classes. She goes back to India every year to continue studying Akhanda Yoga and singing.

A joyous grounding and uplifting practice that implies all movements of the spine, all stages, breathing, chanting and meditation. A journey from the self through the self to the Self. Akhanda Yoga is a contemporary Himalayan version of Haha Yoga. Yogrishi Vishvketu, my Guru and founder of Akhanda Yoga, brings together the deep learning of yoga with the joy and grace of the practice. Akhanda - like the word Yoga itself - means integral, unified, infinite, indivisible. Within a class you can find different aspects of the theory and the practice of yoga. This approach integrates different teachings and techniques from Hatha, Kundalini, Tantra and Bhakti in order to give the students a full experience that they can bring home and into their lives. Hari Om.

Kirtan is music for the soul, it can lift you towards your higher Self and create magical emotional and physical transformation. Mantras are tools for the mind, Vedic in origin they came to us from the Indian Rishis. Different mantras have specific energetic effects on the chanters consciousness from warding off evil negativity and disease to creating abundance and success. Mantra chanting can take you to a place where you can truly live your life to the fullest brightest potential.
